Breaking the Glass Ceiling
The latest of the Beard Center for Leadership in Ethics’s ongoing Ethics Luncheon Forum series will focus on issues surrounding the challenges of women leaders and managers in workplaces dominated by men. Featured speakers include Gretchen R. Haggerty, executive vice president and chief financial officer of United States Steel Corp., and Major General Jessica L. Wright, adjutant general of Pennsylvania, who will share their experiences and discuss what “breaking the glass ceiling” means to them. A question-and-answer session will follow their presentations.

This nonprofit board-training program introduces enrollees to topics such as the roles and responsibilities of nonprofit boards, essential elements of board leadership, legal duties of nonprofit board members and models for ethical decision-making.  Attendees will network with and learn from other leaders in the nonprofit community and the private sector, and will receive valuable resource materials to share with colleagues.
